Recording Live Performances
Music Deck Productions launched The Music Deck series to provide a platform for artists to share their music in a live setting. These music sessions feature artists performing covers and original music on a tropical deck stage surrounded by palm trees and a serene lake. Featuring daytime sessions with a golden sunset backdrop and evening sessions with the moon and string light vibes. The music channel is hosted on YouTube and supported by sponsors. This series is captured by a small crew consisting of a sound engineer, videographer, creative editor, and a community of supporters. It is featured on a channel with its original roots exploring the life of a sound engineer mixing live at a beach theater bandshell. Past videos include: Creating Stage Plots, How-To Wrap Cables, Controlling Your Own In-Ear Mixes, and other helpful stage performance videos.
A Deck Stage with Palm Trees
In order to start hosting our talented musicians, my friends and I built a 16' x 8' deck stage between two palms trees and overlooking a serene lake. This stage provided the platform for magical performances with the movability for our crew to close in on incredible shots. It started here with friends lending a hand, providing encouragement, sharing inspiration, and drilling tons of screws - check it out in our time-lapse build video.
