About Me | Andy Benoit

I’m a live sound engineer, venue technical consultant, and the creator behind The Music Deck, a tropical backyard live studio series. With more than 20 years of experience, I’ve mixed hundreds of bands across genres including rock, country, Latin funk, blues, reggae, R&B, and pop.

Beyond my long-term work in major resort and university settings, I’ve freelanced at some of South Florida’s busiest music spots adapting to every style, space, and stage that comes my way.

Today, I mix, engineer, and produce live music performances for Music Deck Productions, blending technical skill with South Florida's talented musicians. And while the next series is always in the works, I’m continually open to new live sound engineering opportunities wherever great music needs a solid mix.

Venue Experience Highlights

Audio Production at Throw Social Miami

Throw Social gave me the opportunity to take my live sound experience into a much more dynamic, high-energy entertainment environment. What started as a sound engineering role grew into opportunities to take on additional production responsibilities, including technical coordination, video, lighting, and event support. It was an important step in expanding my role beyond the mixing console and becoming a more well-rounded live production professional.

At Margaritaville, I worked across three completely different live music environments—from the outdoor beach Bandshell to the restaurant and waterfront stages. With hundreds of performances spanning rock, country, latin, funk, blues, reggae, R&B, pop, and more, every night brought a different band, room, and sonic challenge. It was an experience that really sharpened my ability to adapt quickly and make very different styles of music sound their best.

Music Deck Productions began as my vision to create a space where artists could showcase their music in a unique, intimate setting. Drawing on my formal education in audio engineering and production, as well as over a decade of hands-on experience mixing live sound for diverse venues and events, I developed a foundation rooted in both technical expertise and creative passion. With this background, I wanted to build more than just a stage—I wanted to create a platform that amplifies voices, fosters collaboration, and highlights raw artistry.
