I’m a live sound engineer, producer, and the creator behind Music Deck Productions, a tropical backyard studio built around good vibes and great energy. With more than 20 years of experience, I’ve mixed hundreds of bands across genres including rock, country, Latin funk, blues, reggae, R&B, and pop.
Beyond my long-term work in major resort and university settings, I’ve freelanced at some of South Florida’s busiest music spots adapting to every style, space, and stage that comes my way.
Today, I mix, film, and produce original multi-camera performances for Music Deck Productions, blending technical skill with creative direction to highlight emerging talent. And while the next series is always in the works, I’m continually open to new live sound engineering opportunities wherever great music needs a solid mix.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at a timelapse of my stage setup for 30Hz at Throw Social Miami, including microphones, stands, cables, and monitor placement for a full band. The video also features a glimpse inside the sound booth as I mix the show on a Midas M32, along with highlights from other live performances at the venue.
For over 6 years I had the privilege of working as a sound man at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL with three distinct stages: the vibrant restaurant, the dockside waterways, and the infamous beach theater bandshell, where I worked with hundreds of bands spanning from rock and funk to pop, reggae, Latin jazz, country, and blues. Watch the stage setups with amazing bands, the tropical atmosphere from aerial drone shots, and the great vibes from the crowds.

With my experience in audio engineering and production, as well as the wonderful relationships I've built with many amazing artists over the years, I led the creative vision for a video series captured at my home studio setup with a backyard deck stage between palms trees and overlooking a serene lake. Here is where Music Deck Productions began and where I had the pleasure to mix and record many beautifully talented musicians for the live performance series featured in The Music Deck on YouTube.
The Music Deck launched on an already established YouTube channel previously known as Paradise Sound Man. I began this channel to host helpful videos for bands performing on a stage and at local venues with topics including How To Properly Wrap Cables, Using In-Ears and Controlling Your Mix With An App, Creating Stage Plots, Must Have Items in Your Gig Bags, and more.
With Music Deck Productions and a team of supportive artists, the channel pivoted its focus to capturing live performances on the serene tropical backyard setting and establishing itself as The Music Deck.
My friends and I built this 16' x 8' deck as the platform to host incredible and talented musicians wanting to feature their original music performed live. The vision was intensified with the beautiful tropical vibe leading the way to gorgeous sunset views and amazing string lit evening sessions. Truly a magical setting for an amazing performance series. This Timelapse build video shows how it started - with some lumber, hundreds of screws, a lending hand, and an inspection by the local French bulldog in command.
